Pokémon TCG Pocket has just broken an insane revenue record

At this point, Pokémon TCG Pocket has earned more in its first year than Pokémon GO. 

Pocket was released exactly a year ago on October 30th, 2024. It's now been a whole year, and the statistics have proven this is Pokémon's most successful app to date. 

Pokémon TCG Pocket's first year breaks revenue records

In its first year, Pokémon TCG Pocket has earned $1.3 billion. That beats Pokémon GO, which made just a little over $1 billion. Just. 

This probably doesn't come as a shock to anyone who has been watching Pocket's growth. The game made $1.9 million in the first 24 hours, with trainers rushing to buy Hourglasses and other items that let them open more booster packs and get specific cards. 

In its second year, GO grew, earning $1.79 billion. The third year? $2.63 billion. The amount has increased each year, reaching $8.85 billion in its ninth year. 

If Pokémon TCG Pocket follows the same pattern, we can expect some insane numbers. 

While it may seem like the company is all about making money (you wouldn't be wrong), it's celebrating Pocket's first year with some free stuff.
