PUBG Mobile is celebrating its 8th anniversary, and that means collaborations! However, PUBG Mobile is also celebrating with the 2026 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) Season 1, which is way more awesome. It was recently revealed that 2026 PMGO Season 1 has more than 1 million registered players. 

"With a growing global player base and an ever-expanding competitive structure, PUBG MOBILE Esports continues to broaden its ecosystem, creating meaningful pathways for players at every level to progress from local competition to the international stage," the press release read.

PUBG Mobile esports is growing, and the 1 million registrations prove it. PUBG Mobile esports are for everyone, especially with developers focusing on accessibility more than ever before. 

Get ready for PMGO action, starting yesterday

The 1 million PMGO Season 1 participants come from over 200 countries. 

The Road to PMGO has been heating up, with national and regional qualifiers running from March to May 2026. We're right in the middle of it all. The goal? Secure enough points by getting eliminations and high placements to earn a spot in the Main Event, which will be from June 2nd to the 7th in Jakarta, Indonesia. 

The Main Event features a $500,000 prize pool and showcases a new generation of mobile esports talent on a massive stage. The top teams from PMGO will head to prestigious events like the 2026 PUBG Mobile World Cup and the 2026 PUBG Mobile Global Championship. 

It's about to get crazy.
