It is the season of spooky, scary skeletons sending shivers down our spines, and UFL is doing it right, but in the wrong way. The Monsters Team Pass has kicked off, cheap pun, and will last until November 11th, bringing players the chance to recruit some scarily talented players.

To celebrate the season of terror, Monsters Player Cards are mixing things up. A roster of players will be receiving boosts to their overall skills, new positions, and some wily veterans will be rolling back the clock and dazzling us with their form. You can collect 15 Player Cards rated from 91 to 95, all with Guardian +50% and Engine +50% Link-Up Play Styles.

Scottish superstar Scott McTominay leads the pack as a 95-rated CM, packing the Fast Driven Pass skill. He's also bringing new positions, so you can drop him back into CDM if you need the coverage, or push him up front as a ST. Marcos Llorente can follow with forward with his new CAM position, or place him at RB and let  Zachary Athekame move up into his new RW home.

There are also four players available to recruit and power up with Squad Swaps, with Nuno Mendes being the holy grail. You can upgrade him to a 97 rating with the Tackle, Pass and Fast Driven Pass skills. Viktor Gyökeres, Alexander Isak, and N’Golo Kanté can also get a rating boost and new skills.

Finally, you can transform your whole set-up with the Moonlight Stadium for spooky showdowns in the dead of night. There's also the Moonlight Badge, Warlock Boots, Imp Gloves, and three kits: Vampires, Werewolves, and Mummies.

I do have to have a quick moan, however. I am disappointed UFL framed this as Monsters, yet there are none. We should be able to have the Loch Ness Monster in goal, Werewolves down the wing, and Vampires manning the midfield. They could turn into bats as a skill move to dribble past a bewildered Bigfoot. The game's name is one letter from UFO; where are my alien pitch invaders?

You can enjoy some non-cryptid football by downloading UFL from the App Store and Google Play.
