Prepare for some real-time swashbuckling as new PvP mode arrives in Uncharted Waters Origins

Skies of Arcadia Legends, Assassins Creed Black Flag, and Sid Meier's Pirates. These are some genuinely amazing games featuring two key features - pirates and ship combat. They are a fantastically fun, fearsome duo, and are set to ride once more as Uncharted Waters Origins launches a new PvP mode.

Not only is this a PvP mode, but it is also real-time, which is shorthand for “a ruddy good time”. The Great Clash will let you do naval combat against players in the same server group. There is one catch, though. It is only open on weekends between 20:00 and 22:00. Two hours of good fun, then.

To tide you over through the week, Investment Season 2 will be launching on April 7th. This will last until June 22nd, during which you are able to collect Season Investment Deeds. Collect enough of these, and you can trade them for rewards such as Season Limited Parts, Season Exclusion Appellations, and the seasonal mate Agostino Barbarigo. What a season.

It wouldn’t be an Uncharted Waters update without a few new characters, and this time, we are getting two S-Grade Mates. Both Keita Zahara and Vani Kaur are combat-oriented recruits, so if you need someone to back you up in a fight, you can count on these. For more options, Jeju Inn Employee Namhye and Azores Inn Employee Benjamin can also be picked up as S-Grade Mates when you reach full friendship with them.

To complete your new set-up, there a five Grade 23 Ships also being added: Ironsides, Thermopylae, La Mort, Exploration Atakebune, and Cheonjihwan. Captain your vessel, and sail to the Maldives waters to explore the new city of Male, and Sinhalese Village.

Uncharted Waters Origins is available to download from the App Store and Google Play. Until April 30th you can take part in the Player Perk Events. Logging in will get you rewards such as Clover Chests and Acceleration Selection Vouchers, thanks to the 14-day Attendance Event. The chests will grant clover to trade in the Clover Shop for special prizes.
