Zenless Zone Zero announces upcoming update and immediate accessory drop

It feels like someone might be in danger in the land of New Eridu, as Zenless Zone Zero’s upcoming update has a slightly ominous name. Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night will launch September 4th, but if you are aching for your ZZZ fix today, then you are in luck.

Let’s look into the future first. Long version name picks up after you have just finished thwarting the Exaltists' latest scheme. To help keep the peace, the Defense Force has dispatched the Obol Squad, but in doing so has accidentally exacerbated Waifei Peninsula’s power struggles. It is up to you to work with Obol Squad to mop up the Exaltists and maybe uncover some hidden truths about the world and your new friends along the way.

Our new agents this time pulled straight from Obol Squad. Orpgie & Magus, one unit, are an S-Rank Fire Attack Agent. Through their EX Special Attack, they accumulate Bottle Heat and place their squadmates into Zeroed In state when attacking foes. This increases their Attack and causes Aftershocks that ignore a portion of the enemy’s Defense.

Seed is an S-Rank Electric Attack Agent who wades into battle with their Seed Sr mecha. Together, they will overwhelm enemies, synergising well with other aggressive Attack agents.  Finally, Mercury is our S-Rank Banbgoo who acts as a tank on the field to support teams.

Speaking of Bangboos, the Band of Brave Bangboo tower defense event is adding new maps, enemies, and mechanics, which include Miasmic environments. Complete these and you will earn the incredibly ranked A-Rank Exacliboo. During battles, he will attempt to draw his holy sword. If he succeeds, he pulls off a powerful sword strike. If no, he simply hammers his foes instead. I love him. For less combat fun, the Rhythm Rave event challenges you to sync beats with the music for more rewards.
