Zenless Zone Zero takes us to the beach with Version 2.1, The Impending Crash of Waves
If you somehow thought Zenless Zone Zero was a serious game, then Version 2.1, The Impending Crash of Waves, is going to disprove that. When it launches on July 16th, it will focus on the Spook Shack faction, perhaps the most ridiculous faction name there is.
You will travel to Sailume Bay, where Porcelumex will be launching a comprehensive safety investigation based on reports of chaos caused by Exaltists. A riveting idea. During this story, you will meet Alice Thymefield, a member of an esteemed family, who, during the course of events, will join the Spook Shack.
For a more fun-sounding change of pace, you can head over to the once-pristine Fantasy Resort. Here you will team up with the Spook Shack, which gets worse every time I say it, to revive the resort through aquatic activities and attractions. Bring your armbands.
Proxies can hit the waves on a surfboard to navigate obstacles with power-ups or hop on a yacht for sea shooting challenges instead. If you want to relax, you can instead visit one of the new fishing spots, complete with new species, and optimised interactions for less grinding.

You can pit your Bangboos against the En-Nah Chess Legend Auto Battler event, which comes complete with a PvP mode. The Simulated Battle Trail will receive a fresh scoring system that rewards combat technique mastery for a new level of challenge. Finally, you can play dress up with new outfits for our two protagonists, and this updates two new recruits.
Joining us from the Spook Shack is the S-Rank Physical Support Agent Ukinami Yuzuha and her pet tanuki, Kama. The tanuki is reason enough to pull her. Her Sweet Scare ability adapts to the active agent’s attribute and boosts Anomaly Buildup. Add this to the tanuki’s candy bombs that also add to Anomaly Buildup, and you have a unit waiting to cause havoc.
If you are incorrect and dislike tanukis, you can instead try for Alice Thymefield, the S-Rank Physical Anomaly Agent. Whilst on the field, she accumulates Blade Etiquette, which can be spent to amplify attacks with Assault and Disorder damage. We complete the new set with Miss Esme, the S-Rank Bangboo that can replenish Energy and HP.
Zenless Zone Zero is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
