Pokémon Champions implements a new pathway for Indian trainers to reach the World Championships

If you are a professional Pokémon Champions player, then I have some bad news for you: the competition just got a lot wider. A competitive pathway for Trainers in India has opened in through the Pokémon Champions India Series 2027 Season, feeding into competitions all the way up to the 2027 Pokémon World Championships. 

To achieve this, India is now its own region in Pokémon Champions, so ensure that you select that. And then, get your teams together because the first competition begins this month. The Global Challenge kicks off September 25th until the 28th, so make sure you register immediately. And again, ensure your region is correct. Indian players who registered before now should make sure they change it. 

If you can’t get to this Challenge, then fret not; the path is still open for you. There will be five other Global Challenges between now and April 2027. The top 30 players in each of the three age groups will advance to the next stage. Which, as I am sure maths fans can work out, is 540 total players.

This unruly mob, who'd better be Lucario-lovers, will then advance to the Online Qualifier in May 2027. Right now, this is shrouded in secrecy; we don’t even know the total number of players who will advance past this. They will receive travel support to the offline Grand Final. So that is good. And speaking of!

Our new friends who triumph in the Online Qualifier will be sent off to the Grand Final, taking place in June 2027. This will occur in Singapore, and again, that’s pretty much all we know. That, and the winners here will be flown out to the 2027 Pokémon World Championship. Hopefully one of these winners will find a way to make Lucario meta.
