She-Ra turns up in He-Man
If you thought there wasn't enough girl power in He-Man: The Most Powerful Game In The Universe, then you're in luck, because the latest update to the game brings with it everyone's favourite princess of power, She-Ra. As well as letting you play as He-Man's twin sister, the new update adds different skins for the menus, and two new levels designed with the alter ego of Princess Adora in mind. Metal Gear Solid Social Ops hits Japanese App Store
Konami and Gree's Metal Gear Solid Social Ops has snuck onto the Japanese App Store, bringing with it plenty of card based stealthy espionage action. As you'd expect from Gree, the game is a tactical card battler that takes situations and characters from the Metal Gear universe and pits them against one another. You need to build up your deck of heroes in order to take down enemies that range from single soldiers to multiple bipedal tanks. All in a day's work really. Freeze! Review
There haven't been too many, but there's something enjoyable about games that stick you in small curved level, and ask you to use the iPhone's tilt controls and the power of physics to get the character you control to safety. A lot of games start you out with either a splash page of introductory context or a movie to set up the scene. Shardlands throws you right into the thick of it straight away. Modern Combat 4 arrives on Thursday
The next installment in Gameloft's Call of Duty inspired Modern Combat series, subtitled Zero Hour, will be dramatically blasting its way onto the App Store on Thursday. Android gamers will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the game, with Gameloft stating that the game should be available "shortly after" on the Google powered devices. Although Gameloft's track record on Android ports means not holding your breath for it is advisable.
