Take control of your favourite nation and build an epic army as Avatar Legends: Realms Collide releases

Back when I was but a child doing childish things childishly, we had some truly fantastic cartoons. I was more into Cartoon Network; Ed, Edd, n’ Eddy, Johnny Bravo and the like, but Nickelodeon had some hits too, such as Avatar: The Last Airbender. This one spun off into a multi-media phenomenon, and it continues its legacy with the release of Avatar Legends: Realms Collide. 

Developed by AN Games and published by Tilting Point, all under the watchful eye of Paramount Game Studios, Realms Collide is a 4X strategy game. This is a little worrying, as this is usually shorthand for “you will be waiting a month to upgrade one building”. They are fun, but they are also a big time commitment.

Realms Collide does have that ace up its sleeve though; branding. You will follow a storyline penned by Avatar Studios and Tim Hedrick, a man who wrote for both Avatar: The Last Airbender, and The Legend of Korra. There’s also inspiration from the book series, as Father Glowworm from The Rise of Kyoshi will rear its terrifying head. You will also face new enemies such as Chanyu, Borte, and Murong.

You will battle these threats by first choosing your bending art, each with its own advantages and visual styles. Then, it is time to assemble your army. Famous faces such as Toph, Zuko, and of course Aang himself will be available to recruit, helping as you build your base up from a humble hovel to a mighty fortress.

The threat of Father Glowworm can’t be handled alone, so you will need to team up with allies across the world and form alliances. Make friends, build your army, equip your heroes with powerful gear, and see if you have what it takes to protect the Avatar Legends universe.
