Relive the origins of George Stobbart as pre-registartion open for Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged
Back in the world of the PlayStation, my first puzzle game was Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars. It was a delightful point-and-click diversion from the action adventures of Lara Croft or the spikey broodings of Cloud Strife. The adventures of George Stobbart have grown since then, but soon mobile players can enjoy the origins, with Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged.
If you have never played Broken Sword, then you are truly missing out. It is a masterpiece of puzzle gaming. The story opens on George Stobbart, an American Tourist sitting at a Paris cafe. He witnesses a clown walk in, steal a briefcase, and then cause an explosion with an accordion bomb. Thus, this cements a fear of clowns in many youths.
He teams up with journalist Nico Collard and goes on a globe-trotting adventure to places such as Syria, Spain, and Ireland. It is here where, thanks to the Full HD remaster, you can have your rematch with the most dreaded boss of the late 90s; that damn goat. I heard that they made that easier in later versions, which is totally unacceptable. We must face the goat at its full power!

HD and enhanced audio aside, the mobile port features full voice acting in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish, as well as external controller support. However, this is a point-and-click adventure, so no, thank you there. Thanks to this version, there has never been a better time to delve into the secrets of the Knights Templar.
Now to ruin all the build-up, you have to wait until June 25th for Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged to release. Pre-registration has opened on both Google Play and the App Store, however, this is the perfect way to lock in that 30% launch discount, bringing the price down to $6.99. Miss it, and you will have to fork out $9.99, although totally worth it still.
