Call of Duty: Mobile is inviting 30 content creators to compete in the DMZ Recon Invitational.

The inaugural edition of the DMZ Recon Invitational is today, taking place at 5 PM PST (just a few hours). If you can't make it, you can check out the action here later. This is also where you can watch it live if you're tuning in.

DMZ Recon Invitational features esports pros and streamers

DMZ Recon was added in December 2025 as part of Call of Duty: Mobile's Season 11 update. The extraction shooter pits players against AI baddies and other players, with competitors fighting to survive and extract with their loot and progress.

The DMZ Recon Invitational will showcase the mode, with top creators like Matt "Nadeshot" Haag and Call of Duty pros like Anthony "Methodz" Zinni creating three groups of 10 to compete for the $50,000 prize pool.

It's unclear if they will be competing on Serpent Island or the smaller and more dangerous Building 21. I also don't know if the squads will be completing missions for extra points, or if it's a straight-up survival game where teams will be out for blood.

Tuning in to the live action will reward fans with in-game rewards. This includes in-game currency and an exclusive DMZ Recon skin.

Call of Duty: Mobile esports fans are still waiting to hear about any more serious tournaments on the horizon. Activision hasn't shared any news about the upcoming season just yet.

At least we can have some fun meanwhile with the DMZ Recon Invitational.
