Um, Supercell... Can I ask why this is happening?

Earlier today, the Clash of Clans X account shared an image of the Archer Queen lounging with her bare feet facing the camera. It was captioned: "Live Like a Queen."

The post was quite jarring to see on my timeline. I checked why it existed, and it's apparently an advertisement for the "Foot Tribute Bundle." The description of that is probably even weirder than the fact that it exists:

"Cast in perfect detail, bare and unapologetically regal. A decadent indulgence for the truly refined. Judgment fades, elegance lingers."

Excuse me?

Is Supercell desperate after revenue loss?

The Clash of Clans community was largely disturbed by Supercell's sudden gooner content. It's not a common theme of the game, unlike the stuff you get in Marvel Rivals. It was not expected.

And not appreciated.

"Game's so trash they gotta resort to gooner bait," said one hater.

"This is a f***ing kids game. I’m out. Clearly, you mf's are going broke and have some weird-ass millennials running the show, tryna get some attention."

It's hard to not correlate this strange pivot in content to the fact that Supercell has seen a massive decline in revenue the past few months. Clash Royale was singled out as earning $36 million in January, which is a nearly 50% decline since December 2025. It's an amount of money that any of us would be happy to have, but Supercell is clearly concerned with the rapid revenue loss.

Will the opportunity to purchase barefoot skins change Supercell's misfortune? It's hard to say. While some have jokingly expressed sexual interest in the image, the bundle has largely left a bad taste in people's mouths.
