We have all heard horror stories from people in the food service industry, particularly about patrons being incredibly rude. But, do you know who is always happy no matter what you feed them? That’s right, animals. Soon, you can attend to a host of ever-grateful, ever-hungry animals with the upcoming release of Cooking Battles.

Aided by your two adorable, yet somehow soul-piercing, bear assistants, Telly and Kwintie, you will need to prepare meals against the clock for your fluffy customers. In order to craft these recipes, you’ll have to tap, swipe, and tilt your phone to create all manner of delicious dishes.

They say half the meal is in the presentation, so you can’t skimp on the setup. You will have full control over the layout of your restaurant, being able to purchase new furniture and place it as you see fit. Maybe place a circle of chairs around one table as a sort of naughty table for any unpleasant customers. See if they send back their meal now with a dozen eyes on them.

Your staff can also be decked out in numerous outfits because I don’t know about you, but I refuse to be fed by someone who isn’t dressed to the nines. The restaurant's menu can also get a fancy flair to it, as you travel around the world, and even to alien planets, to widen your recipe book and serve the best dishes around.

Of course, every food place is bound to have a rival, so Cooking Battles will be packing a multiplayer mode. Compete against the clock and another chef as you try to get the fastest and best-prepared food out to rack up the points. The trailer also seems to show the ability to sabotage your opponent's food, to add another type of spice to their dish.

Somewhat unexpedely, Cooking Battles also comes with its own zombie mode. Suba Games posits that the cure to the zombie apocalypse is simply to feed them a homecooked meal. To be fair, I don’t think anyone has tried that. The usual reaction to seeing a zombie is to go for the head, not the belly.

There will be a closed beta for Cooking Battles coming to mobile, so keep an eye on the official website and the developers' TwiX page for more news.
