Free Fire kicks off a crossover with the iconic Gintama series
For a shooter, Free Fire sure does love doing crossovers with franchises that lack guns. Off the top of my head, I can remember Jujutsu Kaisen, and two forays with Naruto: Shippuden. Garena has a strange type for crossovers is my point, and it is a trend that continues with the launch of the Gintama collaboration.
Technically, it is an event with both Gintama and its spin-off, Mr. Ginpachi’s Zany Class. There is clearly one that is the highlight, however. It will last until May 7th, with the crossover seeing a two-story Yorozuya building popping up across all Free Fire maps in Battle Royale. Fans may recognise this as the Odd Jobs crew’s headquarters.
You will be able to explore this iconic location, complete with Yorozuya office and Otose’s Izakaya. Those who want a memento should turn their attention to the Yorozuya-themed Gloo Wall that can be purchased. Because have you truly visited somewhere if you haven’t stolen a wall?

If you need more, then you can check out the character bundles, including Gintoki and Kagura in both their Gintama and Zany Class forms. You can also terrorise people dressed in Elizabeth’s mascot suit. It doesn’t sound scary, but seeing it in action will leave a scar on your soul.
For those who know how to dress well, you can pick up a Winchester skin inspired by Kagura’s umbrella, as well as the Toyako sword-styled Katana. If you have seen Kingsman, you know an umbrella is the ultimate tool in offence and defence. Or pick up the Justaway grenades by completing missions; they are also good.
Speaking of these missions, they also hold within them the Gintoki Scooter motorbike, in case you feel like driving into battle with zero protection. You never know, it might work. Test it out by downloading Free Fire from the App Store and Google Play.
