Free Fire at the Esports World Cup: schedule, format, prize pool, and more

The Esports World Cup is drawing nearer, bringing massive mobile esports tournaments across a wide range of titles with millions on the line. 

Free Fire is one fo the featured tournaments, and now we have all of the information we need ahead of the action. 

Free Fire qualifiers

We are currently in the Qualifier stage ahead of the Esports World Cup. Who will be the 24 top teams that get to compete for $1 million? 

EVOS gets an automatic invite for winning last year's Esports World Cup. But there are 23 others competing to take that title. 

Here are the qualifiers: 

  • Top 8 teams from Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Southeast Asia Spring
  • Top 3 teams from FFWS Brazil Split 1
  • Top 2 teams from FFWS Latin America Split 1
  • Top 2 teams from FFWS Bangladesh Spring
  • Winner of FFWS USA Spring
  • Winner of FFWS Pakistan Spring
  • Winner of FFWS Nepal Spring
  • Winner of FFWS MENA Spring
  • Winner of FFWS Africa Spring
  • Final 3 slots TBD

Free Fire x Esports World Cup schedule and format

Free Fire blends battle royale action with fast-paced shooting action for one of the most intense mobile competitions this summer. 

This year, the Free Fire tournament will take place from July 15th to July 18th. Stage 1 is the Group Stage, which features 24 teams split into groups of 12. There will be 12 maps per group, with the top four teams from each group progressing to Stage 3. The bottom eight are eliminated.

This is followed by Stage 2, Survival. Twelve teams compete across 10 maps, with the top four progressing to Stage 3 with the winners of the Group Stage. The bottom eight are eliminated once more. 

Stage 3 is the Match Point Finals. Twelve teams will compete until only one is left standing. There is no map limit. This is sure to be quite intense. 

Last year, EVOS became the first-ever Free Fire competition at Esports World Cup 2025. One of its players, Rasyah "Rasyah" Rasyid, became the youngest Esports World Cup champion and EWC MVP. He will be competing once more this year, now 16 years old.
