KartRider Rush+ teams up with the police to deliver a collaboration with a very mixed message

Think about this: you are speeding down the road in a rather unsafe manner. What is the last thing you want to see in your rearview mirror? Rampaging dinosaurs, of course, but a close second is the police. Well, that is what you are going to get in KartRider Rush+, thanks to a collaboration with the Gyeonggi Bukbu Provincial Police.

This is to promote the Campaign to Promote Traffic Order. It addresses five major traffic violations: cutting in, illegal U-turns, tailgating, unauthorised use of ambulances, and bus lane violations. In other words, many of the things we all do in racing games. I feel the collaboration is a little misplaced.

If you pop over to the official Facebook page before August 8th, you can take part in this collaboration. Do so, and you will receive a Traffic Safety Standee to put in your in-game Home, as well as the School Zone Driftmoji and Traffic Safety Balloon. 

After learning these lessons, it is time to dive into some races and completely disregard them! Until August 17th, complete missions like logging in and winning Ranked Mode matches to earn shards. You can trade these for 14 further collaboration items, such as the K-Motorcycle, Police Siren Headgear, and the You’re Surrounded Aura.

Moving away from the five-0, there are a few events to take part in. The KRR+ Summer Getaway will last until August 1st, and tasks you with submitting a screenshot of a location from an in-game track where you would like to go on holiday. You also need to submit a comment justifying your choice. Winners will get 100 Batteries.

The My Favourite Ride Showcase event will also let you post a comment with your favourite kart design, along with what kart you’d like to receive as a reward. Winners will receive three Golden Starters and 3,000 K-Coins, and a further two will get the kart they wished for. It sounds like these two winners get the best prize.
