I am a big fan of nice cars and driving fast. In fact, I plan to drive my Jaguar XF ten hours to Germany and burn through a set of tyres one week this year. I just need to set that background so I can get across just how heinous the latest collaboration between Hyundai Motor Company and KartRider Rush+ is.

The result of this team-up is the Insteroid coming to KartRider, and good lord, do I wish it hadn’t. It just looks so horrendous. I immediately did a search on this to find out what was ravaging my eyes and found the official press release. The Insteroid is “merging gaming influences with extensive customization to captivate a new generation of drivers.” No. Just no. There is no gaming influence here, and if this is what the new generation of drivers wants, I will stick to the classics, thank you.

Anyway, back to the hot mess at hand. If you have lost your mind and like this car, you can take a spin in the Insteroid kart, preferably to a brain surgeon. It is based on the Hyundai INSTER, a compact electric SUV, which, to be fair, we do need innovations in electric cars. Along with this monster, you can pick up the Glitched Hyundai Aura, celebrating the mind of the person who designed this, and an EV Charing Connector in GOGOGOrange.

To celebrate this second collaboration, hopefully, the last if this is what we get, NEXON is hosting an event until April 28th. It is a raffle of sorts, and to enter all you need is to use a Boost Shard just once, which isn’t too strenuous. Do this, and you are in with a shout to win 30 Lucky Star Jewels, tradable for items at the Starlight Treasure Hunt.

KartRider Rush+ is available to download at the App Store and Google Play.
