Take a trip to the Nordics and revitalise the roads as Copenhagen arrives in Mini Motorways
I am a massive fan of Vikings and Nordic lore, so whenever any game even treads near this, such as Copenhagen coming to Mini Motorways, I will jump to it. Now, it is very unlikely that in the Spires and Tires update you will be able to lead a raiding party through the capital of modern-day Denmark, but I refuse to rule this out.
Mini Motorwards is a strategy traffic management sim from award-winning developers Dinosaur Polo Club, and I assume this award was for the best-named studio. The Spires and Tires update is available to engage with now and adds the Copenhagen, Denmark map. To commemorate the environmentally friendly nature of the place, Mini Motorways are bringing train lines back for the first time in years.
As the name suggests, you are going to have a few spires you can build around as you plan the ultimate roadmap around the city's waterways and medieval architecture. You can’t tell it's medieval, given the minimalist style, but it's there in the coloured blocks. Perhaps try squinting a bit.

You can also admire your creation through the new and improved Cinema Mode, an enchanted version of the one that popped its head up in the Down Under update. Of course, this update also brings fresh Daily, Weekly, and City challenges, as well as new achievements, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
Finally, a bit of an easter egg hunt. There is a visual easter-egg that you can spot, inspired by the spire-filled skylines of Copenhagen. It is a Scandinavian city, so could this be a glimpse into the fabled Valhalla? Probably not, unless you somehow add a car-jousting arena into the city. We can but dream.
Mini Motorways is available to download from Apple Arcade. A subscription costs you $6.99 a month, but you will have access to this, plus over 200 other games.
