Meets the stars of Telltale's upcoming adventure Tales from the Borderlands

Telltale has revealed the first story details of its upcoming episodic adventure Tales from the Borderlands. 

Speaking on a panel at interactive conference SXSW, the creators of The Walking Dead: The Game explained that the new game, which is set in Gearbox's Borderlands universe, will focus on two new characters: a cyborg businessman called Rhys, and suave con artist named Fiona.

According to Telltale's Kevin Bruner, the story will play out from the perspectives of both characters, leaving the player to decide who - if anyone - is telling the truth.

"You never really play what actually happened," explains Bruner. "You're playing a Big Fish version of what happened."

Rather than channelling the sombre tone of successful Telltale adventures like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, the team is keen to inject some of Borderlands's trademark humour into this series.

Set on the planet of Pandora, Tales from the Borderlands will also feature action set-pieces. As Bruner himself correctly points out: "You have to have crazy, over-the-top action scenes, or it's not a Borderlands game."

Tales from the Borderlands is due to hit iOS devices later this year. In the meantime, you can catch up with the entire SXSW panel via the video below.
