Pikmin Bloom is bringing the summer snacks with August's upcoming event

Remember about a week or two ago when the world was melting and we all could have done with some cool and refreshing imagery? Well, the powers that be at Scopely must have been laughing at us all when they kept this in their back pockets. From August 1st, Pikmin Bloom will be welcoming the Shaved Ice Decor Pikmin.

Maybe it was a tactical decision to release them when it was cooler, so we didn't eat our new friends instead. Either way, you will have until August 31st to collect them, but how? Why, by completing a multitude of event challenges, of course!

For every one of these challenges that you clear, you will obtain rewards from a pool of items. These include Fruit Syrup Bottles, flower petals, or most importantly, seedlings that grow into Shaved Ice Decor Pikmin. They will grow into one of the seven available types of special Pikmin. You can also grab a Gold Seedling when the Big Flower at the centre of the stage blooms.

Whilst we will all be hoping for those seedlings when we tick off another task, don’t throw those Fruit Syrup Bottles out right away. You can use them to pick up a nice summer-themed Mii costume. Even better, they can also get you seedlings for the Ice Cream: 2024 Flavor Decor Pikmin. 

If you aren’t getting enough Bottles from challenges alone, then have no fear, simply whip out old reliable: mushroom stomping. By destroying Bizarre Mushrooms, you will pick up Mystery Boxes, which might contain Fruit Syrup Bottles. They will also spit out flower petals and seedlings for summer Sticker Decor Pikmin. On every weekend during August, you can encounter Giant Bizarre Mushrooms that pack a special kind of Mystery Box.
