One Pokémon is dominating the Pokémon TCG Pocket meta after Crimson Blaze's release
The Pokémon TCG Pocket meta has changed drastically after the introduction of Crimson Blaze.
After Pocket trainers spent a week grinding and competing, it's become apparent that one Pokémon has reshaped the competitive landscape thanks to the newly available cards.
There are three Mega Absol ex decks that have 54% win rates and are at the top of the meta, according to Wargamer.
How Mega Absol ex is dominating in Pokémon TCG Pocket
Mega Absol ex has one single attack. For two Dark energies, Darkness Claw does 80 damage and forces the opponent to reveal their hand. You may then choose a supporter in their hand to discard. With very minimal draw power, this can really disrupt your opponent's entire strategy.
The first Mega Absol deck combines the ex with Greninja and Darkrai. This ensures that you still deal a good amount of damage since Mega Absol ex only does 80 damage. Picking off targets that are trying to hide make this an even more destructive pairing. Mega Absol ex is also being partnered with Hydreigon. This was used in the previous meta, but the addition of Indeenee to shave off self-damage has made this deck even stronger. Hydreigon is a single-prize Pokémon, allowing you to more aggressively attack without giving up as many prizes. Mega Absol ex and Darkrai can come out when it's safe. A third Absol deck sees it fighting alongside Magneton. The new Magneton from Crimson Blaze does less damage than the previous Magneton, but it doesn't discard energy and it can shut down opponent's attacks with some luck. It's a bit chaotic, making it tough to play against, but it's a fun way to compete.
