Brace yourselves and your wallets: Pokémon TCG: Pocket has another booster pack coming
Pokémon TCG: Pocket is getting yet another themed booster pack, Secluded Springs, bringing Legendaries Raikou, Entei, and Suicune to the collectible card game app.
On August 28th, Pocket will drop Secluded Springs booster packs. It feels like we just got the Wisdom of Sea and Sky expansion, but Pokémon is clearly moving at a very rapid pace when it comes to dropping new packs. And it's no wonder; the game is making massive money, with trainers and collectors alike desperate to rip open as many packs as possible as fast as they can.
Back in February, Pokémon reported that Pocket had made $1 billion in just 200 days. In June, the game saw $55.93 million in revenue from in-app purchases. If I were the Pokémon CEO, I'd say, "Keep the packs coming!"
Secluded Springs booster packs and September events to spend money on, I mean look forward to
Secluded Springs will focus on Pokémon from Gold and Silver, which focuses on the Johto region. The big players from this generation are the three Legendaries, Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. Suicune's ability allows you to draw an extra card if it's in the active spot and its attack does 20x the amount of water Pokémon on both benches. Which is alright. Entei has the same ability and an attack that can do up to 120 damage with extra energy attached, and Raikou is basically not worth mentioning. You can see some of the other Pokémon cards that will become available in the official trailer, released earlier today.
