Alpha7 Esports has won the PUBG Mobile Global Championship over the weekend, taking home the lion's share of the $3 million prize pool.

From November 24th to December 14th, the PUBG Global Championship brought the best-of-the-best teams to Bangkok, Thailand, which was transformed into a PUBG Mobile playground

Forty teams from all over the world arrived in Bangkok after qualifying in various leagues in regions all over the world.

Alpha7 Esports qualified after getting second place at the PUBG Mobile Super League Americas Fall 2025. This led Alpha7 Esports to land in The Gauntlet, which had them fighting in 18 matches over three days.

After placing in the top seven teams, Alpha7 landed in the Grand Finals. This put them up against some tough opponents, including DPLUS, DRX, and Regnum Carya Esports. The 16 teams competed in another 18 matches across another intense three days.

On the final day of the competition, the Smash Rule was activated. Teams that had reached the required points to win competed in several more matches. As a result, the winning team was decided by who had the highest score by the end of the 12th match plus 10 additional points. The team that reaches this match point must then get a first-place finish.

Despite a slow start in the Grand Finals, Alpha7 flew ahead with multiple wins on the second day. They reached the 125 points threshhold by the 12th match on the third day, making them match-point eligible by the 16th match. At this point, they were the first team to get to this stage. While other teams caught up in points soon after, Alpha7 was the first team to secure a first-place finish.

Next year's PUBG Mobile esports ecosystem will have a $7 million prize pool and plenty of exciting tournaments.
