"I hate this world": PUBG Mobile players react to Sonic collaboration

Maybe I'm a hater, but what the heck is going on over at PUBG Mobile? In yet another attempt to basically just be Fortnite, PUBG Mobile has announced a collaboration with Sonic the Hedgehog (maybe to represent how fast they keep announcing random new content collabs). 

From October 3rd to October 30th, you can take part in a Lucky Spin event to earn Sonic-themed cosmetics and items. This includes the Sonic Style Set and Tails Style Set, or even weapons like the Sonic Vector and Cube Wispon Machete. There's even Sonic-themed vehicles. 

Then there's the Sonic Buddy set, Super Sonic Buddy Set, Power Sneakers Ornament, Sonic Ornament... Blah, blah, blah. And did I mention there's a sexy Sonic outfit? Like... why is there an e-girl Sonic outfit? 

PUBG Mobile community sick of weird collabs

Five days ago - yes just five days - PUBG Mobile announced a collaboration with dead meme Skibidi Toilet. You know, that thing that middle schoolers say to make each other laugh in class. We already reported that PUBG Mobile had taken the collabs a bit too far at that point. 

But the cringe is not over. Now, PUBG Mobile has announced a collaboration with Sonic the Hedgehog despite no real upcoming movie or product to support this. It just randomly is happening. In a game that used to be known for its gritty realism, of course. 

It's safe to say that the PUBG Mobile community is not impressed.

"Why haven’t we been nuked yet?" . "Why are we still here... just to suffer." . "I'm glad I switched to Delta Force." . "They tryna be Fortnite so bad holyyy." . "This s- looks like a YouTube Kids commercial." . "Can the sun explode later?" .

Turning your serious and competitive battle royale into a big outdated fart meme seems like a choice. One that I'm not here for. It seems like PUBG Mobile is becoming a bit desperate, so maybe something bad is going on behind the scenes. 

Let's all just feel bad for these poor devs who had to create a sexy Sonic skin just to maybe get laid off in a few weeks.
