Kowabunga, dudes! TMNT x RAID: Shadow Legends is bringing the mayhem

The Heroes in a Halfshell are taking over RAID: Shadow Legends for the next few months. 

In case you haven't heard of RAID: Shadow Legends (you've clearly never watched a YouTuber pretend to play the game during their sponsorship segment), it's a dark fantasy RPG with hundreds of champions to play as. Now until November 13, you can add Michelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael to the mix. 

On top of allowing players to select the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as their champions, the special crossover will also include Shredder, the turtle's biggest nemesis, and a limited-time Event Dungeon where you can face Shredder to earn an exclusive nin-piece gear set, and community activities. 

“Our players love building the perfect squad, and few squads are as legendary and beloved as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” said Ronen Gross, VP of Business Development at Plarium in a press release. “The unique combat roles, traits, and skill sets of each hero fits effortlessly into the RAID universe to unlock the deep team-based customization our players desire.”

The trailer showing off the collaboration has been met with positive reactions from the RAID community. The video displays the turtles' sarcastic personalities and some intense action with Hellrazor. Kowabunga indeed! 

However, it's not all just fun sewer mayhem. You'll need to do some good ol' fashioned grinding to get the TMNT on your squad. Here's how: 

• Michelangelo: Free via a daily login loyalty program. Log into the game each day to receive valuable resources - on day 7 players will obtain Michelangelo for free. Players can continue to log in for even more rewards, but must start the loyalty program no later than October 30^th, to secure Michelangelo.
• Donatello: Available via Shards and a Fragment Event for all players from August 21^st through September 3^rd. Requires completion of specific in-game events and tournaments to gather the necessary resources.
• Shredder: Available through various special events where players must complete specific objectives.
• Leonardo, Raphael, April O’Neil: Available through Shards and limited-time summon events throughout the crossover.

After the event concludes, you will still have the TMNT champioins on your roster (so it's not a big waste, thankfully) but there will be no way to get them through events or Shards after November 13. 

Ready to bring New York City's sewer heroes to RAID: Shadow Legends? The game is currently available to download on iOS and Android mobile devices, as well as PC through the Microsoft Store, Epic Store, Steam, or the Plarium Play platform. Check with your favorite YouTuber for a code or something before jumping in. It could save you some grinding.
