Rainbow Six Mobile Operation Deadly Corrosion adds iconic April Fools event, but forgets the basics
Ubisoft has announced the Operation Deadly Corrosion season update for Rainbow Six Mobile, which will bring a ton of new content.
This includes a new operator, events, battle pass, ranked season and more, along with multiple balance changes.
For those wondering, no new map has been announced and don’t get your hopes up, as there is still no update on 120 FPS support as well.
However, to make up for it, the developers are bringing the popular Rainbow Is Magic event from Rainbow Six Siege, this time with a mobile twist to celebrate April Fools’ Day.
Other limited-time playlists include Mine Sweepers, a 2v2 version of the Bomb mode, and Zone Rush, where teams have one goal – to be the first to capture the zone.
Lesion is the new operator joining the roster, designed for “area control and steady disruption.” His ability, Gu Mine, plants a toxin trap in the ground that slows enemies when triggered, while distorting their vision and revealing their position. The opponent will have to remove the needle injected by Gu Mine, which will give you and your team a window to attack and eliminate them.
Lesion will be available to unlock quickly through the new premium battle pass, along with operator Lion and the Buck shotgun. The free track, on the other hand, will offer the Bandit operator, MP7 SMG, 5.7 USG pistol, and more.
In addition to limited-time events and the new battle pass, players will be able to earn rewards through special events.
The Lesion Enlistment event will give players a chance to learn his kit and mechanics while grabbing exclusive in-game items by completing challenges.
During The Vault event, players can exchange Obsidian to earn cosmetics themed around soft launch operators, with the Valkyrie Ghost Proxy being the ultimate reward.
To collect Obsidian faster, make sure to jump into the Mining Madness event and complete the assigned objectives.
For Easter lovers, the Hoppy Hunting event will offer themed rewards; however, it’s currently unclear whether these will be free or paid.
Last but not least, 10 operators have received balance updates and multiple changes were made to the battle pass and playlists to improve their value.
