SD Gundam G Generation lays out its plans for June and July including new events and tweaks to Master League

Two weeks ago, I wrote that the SEED era of SD Gundam G Generation was coming to an end with the latest Stardust Memory event. Clearly, Bandai read that and thought, “I'll show you!” and confirmed in their latest Update Info that SEED Destiny will join the game in late June or early July.

Of course, I am incredibly excited and am hoarding Diamonds, but there's also a lot of other news to cover in this update. For example, mid-June will introduce a Map Event, where you are placed on a map with a big boss, and enemy squads sitting in every space with helpful items, such as Boost and Fixed Weapons, scattered around.

If you play through this, you can recruit the SSR character Quatre Raberta Winner from Gundam Wing, a support unit with the Increased Range skill. There will also be the SSR Supporter Doctor J and Peacemillion up for grabs, who buffs Tough as Nails tagged Gundam. 

The developers have also addressed feedback from the first season of Master League, the PvP mode. The Player AI is getting tweaked to be smarter, which is great because it is frankly pretty dumb right now. To help everyone have a chance of reaching top rank, events will be held during the next season to help with levelling up. Finally, there will be more content for those who reach 150,000 points early on. Again, amazing news, since personally I cleared all ranks on day two and was just left twiddling my thumbs.

One future addition that definitely needs highlighting is the changes to Weekly Rewards. After the upcoming update, you will be able to earn 20 SP Conversion Chips per week. This is huge, seeing as they allow you to boost your lower rank units to level 100, and they are pretty hard to collect. 

Unfortunately, it isn’t all good news. Fans who were excited for the Thunderbolt: December Sky Story Event will be sad to hear it has been postponed until mid-July. Luckily, it's not the longest delay in the world, at least. We await the Producer Livestream coming at the end of June for a more concrete date.
