SD Gundam G Generation Eternal has gripped me more than any game on any platform recently, displacing the recent Xenoblade Chronicles X port on Switch. A lot of this comes from the SEED content we have been getting lately, but alas, all good things must come to an end as they leave us tomorrow. Luckily, Bandai has given us a peek at what is to come.

The SEED Recollection banner and SEED Astray event will be finishing tomorrow, so make sure to throw all your diamonds at those units immediately. The Strike Freedom is a beast. Taking its place mid-May will be a Fierce Enemy Assault, introducing two new units: Over.on (Armor Form) and Saikoro.

By completing the complementary event missions, you will rack up upgrade materials to beef up your new Gundam, as well as other items. In addition, if you missed the last Fierce Enemy Assault, you will be able to take a swing at it as it returns. That means you can grab the SSR Red Gundam (0085) and the SSR character Shuji Ito.

For those who wish to rumble with other players' robots, your prayers will be answered with the Master League. Season 0 will be kicking off soon, unfortunately, with auto-combat against player data. Here you will notch up high scores to obtain rare items, such as the covetous Ultimate Development Materials. It is a bit disappointing that we don’t have real-time PvP. It would be great to send my fully Limit Break-ed SEED units against other squads, and have my ego crushed when I inevitably lose.

There are two other interesting features on the way, one of which I can’t wait for. The bulk development feature will let you build diagrams with one button, instead of having to build each prerequisite model. This will come late May, which isn’t soon enough. Late May also brings titles for Eternal Road stages and the endgame content, which is exciting.

SD Gundam G Generation Eternal is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
