If there is one thing that unites people, it is the love of animals. Even those who are allergic love them, just from further away. This is why it is a delight to see developer Avia teaming up with no-kill shelter Nevada SPCA in the Play for Paws campaign.

From August 24th until the vague era of early September, award-winning games Solitaire Clash and Bingo Tour will be running in-game missions. Completing these will earn you Dry Food items, which can then be used to feed your virtual fluffy companion. For every feeding action players do, Avia will donate funds to the Nevada SPCA.

What makes this even more important is that Nevada SPCA is a no-kill shelter. This is commendable in and of itself, but it also means they have a lot more adorable mouths to feed, so get playing. If you find yourself enamoured by any of these fluffy fiends, then you are in luck. Provided you are in commutable distance to Southern Nevada.

Every animal that you will see are digital versions of the real animals currently at the shelter. You will be able to read up on those that you have fed, and share their information on social media if you so choose, to show off who is available to adopt. Or, chart a course for the shelter yourself and meet your new best friend. Teach them how to play Solitaire, create a full circle moment. Make that picture of dogs playing poker a reality.

Fans of TheGoodHype pet influencers will be pleased to hear that on September 1st, Avia will be hosting the Play for Paws charity Bake-off event to celebrate their 9th anniversary. It will be a pet-themed baking showdown, and I am interested to find out what that means more than anything. Is it food that animals can eat? Cakes shaped like dogs? Or are we getting into Slowpoke Tail territory? You will have to tune into TheGoodHype’s YouTube and Facebook channels to find out.

On a less sinister note, give this event a try by downloading Solitaire Clash or Bingo Tour.
