The Battle of Polytopia's World Championship has begun, with a $10,000 prize

If you're around this weekend and want $10,000, there's still time to jump into the Polytopia World Championship 2025. 

Strategy game The Battle of Polytopia is hosting an esports tournament that starts with qualifier rounds on September 13th and 14th. Called The Battle of the Tribes, this stage of the tournament will result in 12 winners (one from each of the game's tribes). These 12 will advance to the face-off round, continuing the qualifying rounds for each tribe over the next 10 weeks. 

At the end of the intense qualifying rounds, six finalists will be flown to Stockholm, Sweden on December 6th for an IRL tournament that will be live-streamed to fans. 

The Battle of Polytopia continues

The Battle of Polytopia was first launched in 2016 by Midjiwan, a more straightforward take on the "4X" competitive genre. Competitors claim land, develop technology, manage resources, and then invade rival civilizations. 

If you think you have what it takes, enter through the Polytopia Official Space on the Challengermode esports platform or inside the game itself by selecting Multiplayer > Tournaments.

The tournament will take place in the Might game mode, using a single elimination best-of-three format.
