Become the capitalist overlord of the skies in Torchlight: Infinite's eighth season
I genuinely adore little management sim systems in games. Some people rightly think they get in the way of the usually thwacking people with a sword, but I love diving into them. This is why I like the sound of Torchlight: Infinites Eighth Season, titled Sandlord and coming April 17th.
If you are in a country that is observing the Easter bank holidays, then boy are you in luck. This bumper update is landing right at the beginning of a four-day weekend, happy days ahead. Sandlord is placing you in the shoes of an economic mogul, allowing you to develop your own floating Cloud Oasis.
To grow your floating fortress, you will need to master the economic gameplay of this season. Resourcing trading, product optimization, and worker recruitment will need to be optimised to allow you to build, manage, and upgrade your buildings. The idea of building your very own floating city is certainly enticing.

The herp Thea is taking a walk on the dark side, taking on the Blasphemer role. This revolves around Desecration, a scaling curse that deals more Erosion Damage the weaker her blessings become. With the right build, this can become a devastating move that scales off missing HP, sets off a chain of explosions, or a devastating AoE.
Deep Space has gotten an overhaul, with five fresh challenge stages stacked up with larger maps and tougher conditions. To make it harder, you can use modifiers called Probes to make enemies tougher but offer higher drop rates. Do you go for high-risk, high rewards, or play it safe?
Finally, engage with the Blending System to meld Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes to be stuck onto belts. Hold your pants up with pride using only the grandest of accessories. Then, march belt-first to the latest endgame threat; Night Slayer - The Wilting Plume. Turn them into your new belt! You can find them in the Plane Watcher rotation and Supreme Showdown’s 20th Floor.
Torchlight: Infinite is available to download from the App Store and Google Play, with Sandlord lasting from April 17th to May 1st.
