As the dust settles from TorchCon, we can dive a little deeper into the reveal of Torchlight: Infinite's latest update. Dubbed the Outlaw season, with sadly no cowboy in sight, it will land on July 17th and bring with it a range of crimes to commit. We are proper heroes.

A lot of this will revolve around the Outlaw - Carjack & Crime mode, where you take the fight to Tower Co. You hunt down bodyguards to snatch the Tower Supply Caches, or special transports for valuable loot. Doing enough of these will increase your Crime Rating, unlocking tougher challenges, but also giving access to Black Market Bounties for the best rewards.

You will need somewhere to spend all your loot, and luckily, XD has you covered with new Legendary gear to craft. The Trinity Necklace boosts your elemental damage, and the Quantum Convergence gloves boost Synthetic Troop minion damage based on life consumption. If you wanted an army, you can now get the gear for it.

The hero Rosa has recently undergone a Mercury Baptism, which sounds terrible, but has transformed her into the Unsullied Blade. This magical knight uses Mana to enhance her attacks, and allows her to create a Realm of Mercury to deal AoE damage to all who oppose her. You can practise her moves against the Supreme Showdown's latest boss rotation. A reworked General Redscale and the Sons of Rising Tide return to give endgame players a run for their money.

Also changing this season is the Imbue skill system, turning into Focus Skills. These will charge up based on their trigger conditions, unleashing massive effects when they reach their limit. For active players, Sharp Focus charges as you attack, building to a huge strike. Eroison Focus lets you play a little more defensively, charging over time and then unleashing AoE homing projectiles.

On top of this, there are also a few quality of life improvements. Recycling can be done directly from your inventory, and the Trade House price check system has been tweaked for more accurate data. You can also customise loot drop sounds with your own music files, which is perhaps the most exciting feature of the update.

Torchlight: Infinite is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
