With 1999 behind us, hopefully not forever, it is time to look fully forward to Warframes' next big expansion: The Old Peace. There is so much to be excited for, between heading to Tau and learning more about our ancient foe, but until the actual launch, we have a new prime to tide us over.

As you probably spotted in the gameplay from TennoCon, or all over YouTube, Caliban is next to get the Prime treatment. Developed by both the Orokin and Sentients, Caliban represents the zenith of the two most powerful tech empires. Now, we use them to smash both factions to bits. Ah, the circle of life.

Caliban Prime benefits from the usual increased energy and shields, and also adds an extra Attack Polarity for your modding pleasure. When you wade into battle, you can use their usual tool kit to summon Prime Sentient constructs, become a spinning vortex of destruction, and obliterate the very ground you walk on with Tau laser beams. Or become your own disco.

You can also kit yourself out with Caliban’s signature scythe, Venato Prime. No special properties, but scythes as cool as all hell. For those long-range enthusiasts, pick up the Vadarya Prime sniper. It has a chance to arc lightning between targets for some AOE fun, because Caliban is all about being flashy, it seems.

If you have the inclination, you can pick up Caliban Prime and his weapons for free by grinding out the Blueprints from Void Relics. Or throw your money at Digital Extremes; either way works.

For the more fashion-conscious, there are a few new pieces of gear you can collect. The Taurom Prime Regalia outfit is available for the Operator and Drifter, along with the Neurovyre Prime Syandana backpiece. The creatives in the community have been hard at work, with a new batch of TennoGen cosmetics released. These include the Gauss Profitas Warframe skin, Jotunheim Whip skin, and what else do you need? It is a Norse whip, go get it.

Warframe is available to download from the App Store.
