Warframe reveals worst-kept secret from TennoCon with upcoming Prime
If you watched the preview of Warframe’s The Old Peace at TennoCon, you might remember a certain suit floating in stasis, with a little smart ass floating around it. As many people guessed, this was a sneak peek at the next Prime Warframe, and as everyone also might have predicted, because Digital Extremes all but confirmed in the demo, it is Caliban Prime.
This warrior was forged to be the best of two worlds, harnessing the Sentients' technology and being made exceedingly shiny from Orokin gold. Originally created to hunt down the Tenno, he survived The Old War and now fights to right the wrongs of his past by doing cool ninja flips.
Caliban is quite the aggressive combatant, with his abilities geared for fighting multiple foes at close range. Razer Gyre sends him spinning towards enemies, dealing damage and being healed at the same time. Gather your adversaries together and then unleash the Sentient Wrath for a wide radial move, which stuns those who survive.

He can also summon Sentient allies to assist in battle, and these friends can assist with the Fusion Strike ability. With this, you can fire laser beams of doom at your target, stripping their armour and shields, whilst your little pals will unleash their own mini version. Cute and deadly in equal measure.
Of course, with this new Prime Warframe comes new Prime weapons, and we have a beauty this time. You can wield the Venato Prime scythe to cut through your foes, and I think we can all agree that scythes are a great aesthetic. You can also hang back with the Vadarya Prime sniper, although I have never found them particularly great in Warframe, to be fair. Not enough action.
Caliban and his armoury can be obtained for free if you can pick up all the Blueprints and Relics, or simply throw your wallet at Digital Extremes. If you are up for a shopping spree, the new set of TennoGen designs is also landing, including the very intriguingly named Jotunheim whip weapon skin. Medium-close-range Norse death.
Warframe is available to download from the App Store, with Caliban Prime landing on August 26th.
