What the Car teams up with Among US because being a car with legs apparently wasnt sus enough

If you are going to do a collaboration, you could do a lot worse than one of the biggest pop culture games in recent memory, which is exactly what developers Triband have pulled off. What the Car is teaming up with social deduction sensation Among Us in the Car-Mong Us update. And I thought I made some tortured puns.

For those who haven’t played What the Car, it puts you in the shoes of a car with legs, thereby completely nullifying the whole car part. You Flintstones around hundreds of levels jumping, flying, and climbing as you meet the world's crazy inhabitants, explore, and solve some very weird puzzles. It won Best Mobile Game at the DICE Awards, so hey, it's doing something right.

Back to Car-Mong US - still a terrible pun - and what the collaboration means to us. First, there's a new overworld, a homage to the Among Us spaceship. Side note, I am only now finding out that the ship actually had a name: the Skeld. When you are avoiding backstabbing crewmates, you forget to check that owner's manual.

There are two intermezzos to go along with this. You can shoot asteroids in a nod to one of the tasks, and you can eject imposters. I for one would love to see what a car with legs being ejected into space looks like. Especially after you customise your vehicle fellow with one of the unlockable skins, modelled on the crewmate colours.

Along with this asteroid intermezzo, there are also four minigames derived from the Among Us tasks for you to complete. Finally, not even remotely inspired by the social deduction masterclass, there are three racing courses to enjoy. Unless you include chasing people around the ship, I suppose.
