Is Assassin's Creed - Identity the mobile Assassin's Creed game we've been waiting for?
I'll keep this brief: Ubisoft has just soft-launched Assassin's Creed - Identity in Australia and New Zealand. Unlike the card games and companion apps Ubisoft has served up to iOS gamers in the past, this fully 3D "action RPG" is a close to a full-blown Assassin's Creed game as we've ever seen on mobile. Like its console counterpart, the game lets you explore ancient cities, leaping from rooftop to rooftop before stabbing-up some unsuspecting nobleman. Colords is a fantasy-themed arcade puzzle game, out this October
Coming to iOS this October, Colords is a combination of a cute 3D fantasy aesthetic, that looks to play a bit like arcade-y puzzlers such as Threes!. @WeAreVigilantes shares new Imps in Tokyo video, I'm officially #intrigued
There's a lot of social media stuff going on in the new Imps in Tokyo trailer. Each of the monsters in the game is referred to as @Harvey, @Hester, @Louis, and so on, and each has their own hashtag to sum up their personality - @mrcornelious is #evil, apparently. The game itself looks to be an arcade-focused dodging and shooting game, with a rather wonderful cartoon look to proceedings. Depth Hunter 2: Deep Dive could be the diving game we've been craving since Scuba Diver Adventures
Quick bit of backstory on this: Scuba Diver Adventures was an absolutely beautiful underwater escapade made by Biart that was almost ruined by heinous free-to-play shenanigans. Depth Hunter 2: Deep Dive appears to be the same sort of deal, made by the same people, only this time they're going premium. Consequently I'm extremely keen to get my hands on this one. J-Pop mega star Gackt is providing his dreamy vocal chords to a brand new RPG from Square Enix. It's called 3594e - Romance of the Three Kingdoms Hero's Song, and will be based incredibly loosely on classic Chinese history novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. They've even done a trailer with Gackt in it, in which he's wearing a ridiculously cool outfit, and you can see it below. Popcorn Party is bursting with Sprout-y flavour
The latest puzzle game from DeNA and Room 8 Studio is Popcorn Party, which is apparently inspired by a pen and paper game I've never heard of, called Sprouts. DeNA, Disney, and Lucasfilm have teamed up and are producing a tower defence game called Star Wars: Galactic Defense. Excited? Yeah... The jury's obviously still out on whether it's going to be any more than a standard TD game with Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader slapped all over it, but we've got our fingers crossed.
