After the ridiculously awesome 80s cartoon trailer released a few weeks back, I didn't think another Angry Birds Transformers video would ever get me quite as hyped again. I thought wrong. Minutes ago Rovio released its gameplay trailer for Angry Birds Transformers, and any potential fears that it might be a boring re-hash of old ideas have transformed and rolled right out the window. The headline says it all really: the new video for Kill Shot has just about everything you need in a trailer for a free-to-play first person shooter that's big and explosive and completely over-the-top in its depiction of armed combat. Most of Kill Shot seems to revolve around being a sniper (although other weapons are available), and carefully lining up your sights to terminate targets with extreme prejudice. There are slowmo replays when you off someone in an especially epic way, and with the Watch and Share feature you can share the gruesome replay with your mates. It's out now, go grab it. There's a trailer for Pumped BMX 2 out, and it has me frothing at the mouth in anticipation. I adore games like Touchgrind Skate 2, True Skate, and so on, and Pumped BMX 2 looks like a bike-themed take on those games, but in 2.5D. There's a flexible control scheme and a realistic physics engine in place that allows you to do loads of different tricks, 50 levels with 500 challenges, plus achievements and leaderboards. Drugs are bad, mmmkay? But dealing drugs is worse. If for some reason you do have the urge to peddle highly addictive, life-destroying, terrorism-funding contraband then Underworld: Drug Lords will let you do that in the comfort and safety of your middle-class suburban home. Here's why I'm excited for Zodiac; The game itself is being developed by Kobojo, a European outfit that seemingly have a bit of a passion for JRPGs. Talent includes peeps that have worked on Pokemon and a whole bunch of MMOs. The scenario is from the mind of Kazushige Nojima, whose previous work includes Final Fantasy VII, VIII, X, X-2, Final Fantasy XV, and Kingdom Hearts. Music is provided by Hitoshi Sakimoto, of Final Fantasy XII and Tactics fame, with credits on Tactics Ogre, Vagrant Story, Gradius V, and more. illo - Birth of the Cool is shaping up to be... well... pretty cool. It's a non-violent adventure game with action and puzzle elements from Raylight Games, where you'll be controlling the eponymous hero using touch, tilt, and microphone inputs, to navigate them through beguilingly stark worlds in a strange and unique narrative that's told completely without words. Wild and Free Games has announced it's working on a new motorbike racer with plenty of fisticuffs, and it's called Wild. It's chunky and bold and violent and arcade-y and seriously just watch the trailer below because it already looks absolutely bad-ass. The game's confirmed to be free-to-play and will come to PC / Mac / Linux for sure. Simogo's work is exemplary, and we've been steadily becoming more desperate to play The Sailor's Dream ever since it was announced. But there's a chance we may have to wait a little longer than we anticipated. Simogo's artist / writer Simon Flesser has taken to Twitter to express dismay at the new resolutions of the upcoming iPhone 6 models. The setup for The Sleeping Prince is classic fairytale stuff: Sydney Slime is up to no good in the Kingdom of Cloudreach, and it's up to Prince Perilous to save the day. The problem is, Prince Perilous just will not wake up. Therefore it's your job to save the day by flinging his limp body through Slime's castle, whilst besting foes and solving puzzles in this physics-based platformer.
