Disney Speedstorm sticks a fork into proceedings with their latest season

I am very upset that Disney Speedstorm moved on from the Lilo and Stitch season, because we all know it is the best property they created. Alas, all good things come to an end, and now the Toy Story series will have its time in the limelight with the No Toys Get Left Behind season.

Before you think that toys can’t race, don’t forget the truck scene from the first Toy Story. Point well and truly made, it is time to look at what we will be getting. Unfortunately, it is the B-team. Not a Rex in sight. Inconceivable.

Our first racer is Forky, a Defender who gets a speed boost whenever an opponent touches the circle of trash around him. He can also use his special ability to surge forward and impart a boost to anyone he hits. That might backfire a bit. If you prefer to attack, Emperor Zurg is a brawler who can stun enemies in a large radius by firing a cluster of foam balls behind him.

Finally, the trickster Lotso can use Bear hug to mark a racer and slow them down. Then, let out a menacing growl to slow marked racers down again. He also gains a boost depending on how many marked racers you snarl at. Finally, Buzz Lightyear and Bo Peep are now free for everyone. To help our new racers out, you can man your crew with Big Baby, Karen Beverly, Stretch, Chuckles, Bonnie, Twitch, Sparks, and more.

Limited-time events are getting a twist thanks to Tales events. They are long-term goals that encompass PvE and PvP objectives, a leaderboard, and a global reward track. Even better, multiple can run at once, so you can check off a ton of goals at the same time. To complete these, you might need backup.

Hercules, Elsa, EVE, Goofy, and my beloved Stitch are all getting Supercharged Racers, with boosted stats and progression. If you missed any of The Nightmare Before Christmas characters, the second-best property, then luckily for you, the Vault has opened. You can pick up Sally, Dr Finkelstein, and the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington.

Finally, the adorable duo of Chip and Dale will soon be available as mid-season racers. There is a lot to unlock, so download Disney Speedstorm from the App Store and Google Play and get cracking.
