Over the weekend, Konami wrapped up the first FIFAe World Cup 25 featuring eFootball, a world championship for the sports simulator. Thailand's JXMKT won the mobile division of the World Champions in Saudi Arabia, held from December 10th to the 13th.

Ninety countries participated in the qualifiers that led up to this event, with over 16.51 million participants competing, according to Konami's press release. This resulted in 12 national representatives heading to the World Champions event.

The Mobile Division's final started off in Thailand's favor. JXMKT took the lead after getting a mid-range shot in the first half followed by another goal in the second half. While Brazil showed its skills in the second match, Thailand's rep was playing too aggressively.

"I am very proud and I want to thank my coach," JXMKT said. "Without him, I couldn't become a champion. And I want to thank my team and Thailand for suport. Dream came true."
