Fishing Clash has gone fishing with MLF to crown the Angler Of the Year

There's still a chance to catch some Major League Fishing action in Fishing Clash.

Until August 11th, players can participate in a special in-game event that immerses them in the 2025 Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour season during the Grand Finals. Competitive fishing and mobile gaming? This is most definitely a one-of-a-kind experience, whether you know the difference between a bass and a trout or not. 

But, for those that are on the competitive side of the reel, it's time to grind. The top five players will be rewarded with exclusive MFL-branded prizes. The Fishing Clash Angler of the Year will be awarded during the Bass Pro Tour Stage 7 at Saginaw Bay in Bay City, Michigan. Well, the virtual version. 

There will be three parts in this special in-game event. The competitive part is already underway, with eight days of gruelling competitive challenges for those who qualified by earning three of the five event tickets over the past six months. If you're more of a bass novice than bass pro, you can take part in the MLF Fishing Quest from August 8-11th, which has you catching a special MLF fish to earn points on a leaderboard. During this time, there are also fishing influencers sharing special gift codes that unlock leaderboard access up until the Grand Finals. Check out Fletcher the Fisherman, Jacob Knowles, and Fishin with Tate's social media channels. These guys will then be at the final stage of the Bass Pro Tour in Bay City, Michigan, sharing behind-the-scenes footage with their followers.

The crossover between digital and professional fishers showcases the community's skill and passion as a whole. Fishing Clash will award Angler Of the Year titles across four real-life MLF circuits: Bass Pro Tour Fishing AOY, Tackle Warehouse Invitationals Fishing Clash AOY, Toyota Series Fishing Clash AOY, and Phoenix Bass Fishing League Fishing Clash AOY. 

Mobile games are starting to really prove themselves in the esports scene, with Fishing Clash following in the electronic footsteps of PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, which have grown massive esports scenes with crazy prizes on the line.
