I don’t know about you, but if I owned a property like Honor of Kings that earned $2.6 billion last year, I would just sit around on a chair made of money patting myself on the back. Instead, Tencent and TiMi have been hard at work on a spinoff, Honor of Kings: World, and if you are lucky enough to be at Gamescom this year, you are in for a treat.

From August 20th to 24th, Cologne will host the great and the good at Gamescom. But you know what it is already, right? Well, TiMi Studio Group will be there, allowing expectant fans of the Honor of Kings franchise to try a fully fledged demo of World. It will be on PC instead of mobile, but you can just hit the keyboard with your phone if you want to keep supporting the platform.

If you are expecting more MOBA fun, though, you will be disappointed. World is an action RPG with dodging in combat and a stamina wheel. A completely original idea, I am sure you will agree. It will be very interesting to see how the demo plays, especially given how World seems to be focusing on the multiplayer side of things.

Back to the Gamescom demo, you will want to take yourself over to Hall 9, Booth B040, whilst trying not to be distracted by the lure of Bandai. Here you can launch into everything TiMi is offering. Whilst we don’t know the specifics of the demo beyond just cooperative boss battles, you can expect the fast-paced, style-swapping combat we have seen in previous releases.

There is no pre-registration for Honor of Kings: World yet, but you can subscribe to a newsletter on the official website. Or, you can grab the original Honor of Kings MOBA from the App Store and Google Play and get a foot into the world ahead of release.
