Finally, a cool crossover: Magic Chess: Go Go x The King of Fighters now live

Magic Chess: Go Go has teamed up with The King of Fighters for the auto-battler's first collaboration. 

The collaboration starts today, dropping with the rest of MCGG's Season 4 update. This includes eight themed commander skins, two new synergies, and a King of Fighters-inspired chessboard skin, according to the official press release. There's also a promo event, new battle modes, and the arrival of MCGG's first international tournament. 

MCGG Season 4 brings King of Fighters content

Season 4 will feature a battlefield full of King of Fighters themes and references. 

Check out these eight commander skins: 

  • Aurura "Kula Diamond"
  • Chou "Iori Yagami"
  • Dyyroth "Chris"
  • Karina "Leona"
  • Guinevere "Athena Asamiya"
  • Gusion "K"
  • Pquito "Terry Bogard"
  • Valir "Kyo Kusanagi"

This also brings two new synergies: KOF and Mortal Rivals. 

On top of the cosmetics, the collaboration has also brought forward the Destined Duel event. During this retro-styled event, players can earn up to 70 Leona Draw Tokens, KOF Deploy Effects, and the Johnson "Death Chariot" skin. 

Participate in events, log in, and complete other easy challenges to get Promo Diamonds. This will unlock more in-game items. 

"Working with King of Fighters is a huge step for MCGG," said Producer Gao "Skyhook" Chong. "And we're especialy excited since it's our first collaboration. Bringing this iconic franchise into our universe allows us to explore new ways to merge strategy and combat while offering players more depth and variety in how they approach the game." 

That's right! This collab isn't only about cosmetics, of course. There are new Commander Power Cards that will add different strategies to the battlefield thanks to each commander's unique powers. Combine these powers for crazy combos and pick the right card at the right time to turn gameplay around. 

Arena Mode provides another competitive option as the auto-battler continues to build up its esports scene. This mode has a ranking system where you can earn ranks based on Arena Trophies earned. Climb the leaderboard for a more competitive experience with other serious players. You'll get random Go Go Cards and Equipment along the way.
