We all know that sleep is incredibly boring; that is prime time that could be spent playing games. It is vital for a healthy lifestyle, though, and for two years, come July 20th, Pokémon Sleep has been doing its part to make it at least slightly fun.

To celebrate the milestone, there will be a second anniversary fest later this month. But that's not nearly enough of a milestone. To tide us over, we will be treated to a prelude event that will begin on July 7th and continue until the 14th. You can reap 150 bonus sleep points per day, which will soon add up.

Your cooking pot will be 1.5 times larger to accommodate more ingredients for those deluxe meals. I am glad that there is a company that appreciates a good old-fashioned Sunday Roast, and the pot is three times larger on Sunday. I suppose the thinking is that a food-based hibernation will equal more sleep points.

The first anniversary festival spotlighted the three Generation IX starters: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. This trio is reprising their appearance, being more likely to appear during this prelude. This includes all of their evolution line as well, for those who dream of feline magicians or funky ducks.

So far, we don’t have a lot of details for the actual Second Anniversary Festival itself. It will kick off on July 14th, after the prelude wraps up, of course, and will no doubt encompass the big day itself. What we do know, however, is who our star guests will be this time around.

The Generation III starters will be making their mark, with Treecko, Mudkip, and Torchic being the centre of attention.  They might not be the best of the bunch, but who doesn’t love a Kung-Fu chicken? Pokémon Sleep can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
