Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley will bring the Finnish masterpiece to mobile as pre-orders open
I don’t know much about Finland, besides it being a Nordic country and that a superb rock band hails from there, but I know the Moomins. Everyone knows the Moomins. It is a delightful franchise, and soon you can experience a chapter on your mobile device with the upcoming release of Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley.
As the title suggests, you won't be playing as the large, cuddly Moomin. Instead, you will control Snufkin, a close friend of series hero Moomintroll, who spends his time wandering. When he returns to Moominvalley this time, though, he finds his chums are missing, and the area is under threat.
The Park Keeper has constructed a series of parks in the valley, which is awful because boo well-kept green areas, I guess. It will be your task to disrupt the local police officers, destroy signs, and vandalise statues, as this will restore Moonvalley and thwart the Park Keeper. Are we sure we are the good guys in this story?

You shall achieve this possibly noble goal through stealth, puzzles, and the power of music. As Snufkin is never far from his trusty harmonica, audio is, of course, a big part of this adventure. You will befriend a huge cast of characters through sound, with the overall music being supervised by Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós. I enjoy the image of all the Moomin moshing to rock music, just as an aside.
If you are at all interested in experiencing another facet of the hit Finnish series, then you are in luck. The first section of the game will be available to try out completely free. After that, you will, obviously, need to pay for the full experience, but you should never turn down a nice, relaxing experience for nothing.
Snufkin Melody of Moominvalley is available to pre-order from the App Store and Google Play, with an expected launch date of August 6th.
