Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel starts the journey towards the 2026 World Championship
For the past year or so, there has been one competitive card game that would come to mind when you think mobile: Pokémon TCG Pocket. Specifically after the trade fixes and such. However, what if you want a game with a lot more confusing rules, summoning mechanics, and, more importantly, more Seto Kaiba? Well, there's Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, and it's time to duel like never before.
The Road to Worlds Campaign has kicked off, and anyone can join. You don’t need locator cards, star chips, or even outrageously pointy hair, merely your phone. If you know your Dark Magician from your Magician of Black Chaos, then you can play to enter. Side note: I love that more games are opening their tournaments to the public
It is a two-stage process to book yourself a seat at the final table. First is, fittingly, the 1st Stage. This will take place between the 10th and 22nd of June, so you have a bit of time to build your deck. If you duel enough people into submission and reach DLvl. 20, then you will be able to advance to the Regional Qualifiers.

It's the perfect time to learn what Pot of Greed does
These battles will go down from June 19th to June 22nd; yes, the overlap confuses me a bit, too. Those who rank highly enough here will then qualify for the WCS 2026, where they will battle alongside 2 teammates in Tokyo, Japan, for the title of King of Games. It probably isn’t officially that, but if I won, I’d claim that one. There will be two teams from Japan, and one for each of the following: EMEA+ ANZ, North America, Latin America, and Asia. For those who log in during the campaign, there is a ten-day login event to enjoy. This will net you a possible 1,000 Gems, a Number C101: Silent Honor DARK (Royal Finish), and Number C101: Silent Honor DARK Icon. There is also a host of content, including alternate art cards, hitting the store. But will anything outclass the Blue-Eyes White Dragon? Not in my heart.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is available from the App Store and Google Play.
