At last! Defender, the all-time classic arcade game, is now available for the iPhone. Famous for its complex gameplay and difficulty, it became a world-wide sensation in the 1980's.

Now you can play it on the iPhone! As exciting as the original, but in the palm of your hand, with controls carefully tailored to work perfectly on the small screen, you must battle against hoards of aliens who are trying to abduct all the humans who are walking about peacefully on the planet's surface. Fight your way through the levels for increasingly mind-bending difficulty which will test your skill to the utmost.

This version of the game also includes global leaderboards which use Apple's Game Center, allowing you to follow your friends' progress.

Will not run on iPhone 3, struggles somewhat on a 3GS, though works perfectly on a 4. Enjoy!
