Description

RimeViewer is a free app to view plans created by iBuildMap.

RimeViewer allows the opening and use of the plans created by iBuildMap in real time, making the interactive custom maps and plans accessible to anybody with an iOS device.

iBuildMap allows the creation of custom overlaid maps, with areas marked out either by drawing on the map directly or by using the devices location to mark a route or area. Areas of the map can be overlaid with an image to add extra detail or annotation to the map.

RimeViewer can open these files if sent via email or AirDrop. RimeViewer can also receive plans sent directly from a nearby iBuildMap user.

RimeViewer only allows viewing of plans and not editing them so is an ideal method of distributing read-only plans.

Individual layers can be toggled on and off to allow lower layers to be viewed.

Disclaimer:

RimeViewer uses a background mode to continue to access the users location from the devices GPS system so that the users location on the map is kept up to date even if the screen is locked. This ensures maximum accuracy for those use cases that require a continually accurate update of location.
