GAS TRAINING

The initial Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1) app includes appliances and training in the following:

CCN1 – Core Domestic Gas Safety, including CPA1 (Combustion Performance Analysis)

CENWAT – Central Heating Boilers & Water Heaters

CKR1 – Cookers

HTR1 – Space Heaters (including Gas Fires and Wall Heaters)

The content covers

-Gas safety, legislation and standards
-Gas emergency actions and procedures
-Tightness testing and purging
-Installation of pipework and fittings (pipework within meter -installation and outlet pipework)
-Checking and/or setting meter regulators
-Unsafe situations
-Use of emergency notices and warning labels
-Operation and positioning of emergency isolation controls and valves
-Products and characteristics of combustion
-Ventilation (for domestic and non-domestic appliances)
-Chimney Standards
-Re-establish existing gas supply and re-light appliances
