The Synagogue in Subotica was designed by Marcell Komor and Dezső Jakab, partner architects from Budapest, and built between 1900 and 1903 in a new "Lechnerian orienal / Hungarian style". It is a unique example in the region, and the second biggest Synagogue in Europe, after the Synagogue in Budapest.
