Description

This app can be used to retrieve UPS status information, like battery charge level, battery voltage, time on battery and so on, from an apcupsd server that has an UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) hooked up to it.

For information regarding the labels of the status information (like BCHARGE means Battery charge), please look at: https://linux.die.net/man/8/apcaccess (the man page for apcaccess)

Features:
- App supports the latest apcupsd (3.14.14) and is compatible with all iPhone running iOS 10.3 or higher.
- All information is displayed in a text based manner (the app is meant to work exactly like the "apcaccess status" command).
- IP/Hostname/Domain of server to connect to can be changed at any time in Settings page.
- Dark mode is supported

Requirements:
- APC brand UPS, or any other UPS/Battery compatible with apcupsd
- Server - this can be any device that can host the apcupsd service (Note: you can not run the server on an iPhone, the phone is just the client. You can use an embedded device, such as a Raspberry Pi)
- your phone

Note:
It is NOT recommended to expose the apcupsd server port on the Internet, because the apcupsd protocol is a plaintext protocol and provides no means of authentication. It is meant to be restricted to local access only. If you want to access the server from outside your LAN install a VPN (like OpenVPN) on the Server device, and connect to it using the proper, intended client.
